Structural Competency Working Group
The “Rad Med" Structural Competency Working Group is engaged in imagining and experimenting with alternatives to the current systems of health care, health professional training and racialized policing in the U.S. The group is made up of faculty and students from the health sciences, social sciences and humanities as well as community physicians, nurses, organizers and patients and interacts with the international movement for structural competency. The group has organized events engaging broad publics, trainings for health professionals and publications to broaden the impact of the framework of structural competency in health care.
